Pastor Paul gave his life to Christ as a teenager. Although he did not grow up in a traditional Christian home, he always carried a genuine love for the Lord. A significant influence in his life was his mother's best friend--whom he lovingly called his "spiritual mom"--who discipled him and taught him the importance of having a real, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She instilled in him a passion for daily Bible reading, wholehearted worship, and truly living for the Lord.
Beginning as a young teenage Christian, Pastor Paul experienced many powerful moments of worship where he encountered the strong presence of the Holy Spirit and grew deeply in his relationship with Him after receiving the baptism and infilling of the Holy Spirit. As he immersed himself in God's word, he developed a strong understanding of the gifts, work and power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit placed a strong desire within Pastor Paul to preach the Word, a deep compassion to reach the lost and serve those in need, and a genuine love to care for people with the love of the Lord.
Pastor Paul has personally experienced and witnessed how the Holy Spirit empowers believers for service--providing divine strength, spiritual gifts, and boldness to be effective witnesses for Jesus Christ. He believes the Holy Spirit actively guides believers, directs them into specific areas of service, and enables them to overcome personal limitations in order to accomplish God's work.
Ultimately, the Holy Spirit placed a clear calling on Pastor Paul's life to preach the Word and to plant a church--marking the beginnings of Acts Church.
